Goodbye OPSS
ok.
I know it's been a while already
but i need to put down some of the thoughts
This must be one of the greatest decisions that i had to make in my life.
In short,I had 5 good years i guess.
Even in the last 2 years when things changed, i had wonderful kids and always had wonderful friends...
friends
One thing i take with me from these 5 years is: we all need friends!
Nobody can survive withour friends. In teaching at least.
I've seen how the ordinary morphed into wonderful and the mighty crumble
all because of friends.
I think i've made some lifelong friends in OPSS.
My two sisters and mummy-dopey and billie and ai lee, my surround sound speakers when they get into my car and just about everywhere we go. They are loud, unabashed, looney, dramatic, larger than life and a whole lot of fun. We marked together, played bridge, sang, worked(a little,i think) together. And brought noise(life) to the staff room. Thanks for the memories,my dear sisters and mummy.
My pe dept- chee kuan, rod, chin seng, ramesh. We worked on so many things together. Thanks for showing me how to bully younger staff and get away with it. ahahaha. To each of you, i saluate your commitment and professionalism as we work together. I 've gleaned so much from each of you. and I'll never forget the moment when we group-hugged after scoring the goal in extra time in the quarters of the MOE soocer competition. One of my greatest regrets is not to being able to play more soccer together in the parade square. cj, dawei, gazza, matt, mok, thanks for the soccer memories.
my makan/bintan kakis- soo, my british friend, naf, carol, mandy.
Our numerous food and leisure expeditions have been life changing, not to mention size- changing. With you guys around, work became less of a drag and we could always count on a getaway to unwind and talk.
Then there's the inspirational vic. thank you for being who you are.
This short entry does no justice to all you wonderful people. But know that you're greatly appreciated and you all have a special place in my heart.i'll miss u guys.
